Success stories
Let me tell you about a client we assisted in their internationalization process in Dubai; from the pre-analysis phase to verify if their product could have real opportunities in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, to the trade mission, and for some, to managing the follow-up to keep relationships warm with potential Emirati clients they had met, in order to maximize the effectiveness of the activities carried out and ensure that the opportunities created during the mission turned into actual contracts.
Automotive sector mission
The company specializes in customizing high-performance cars; it is well-known in Italy, but like other companies in the sector, it faces a significant contraction due to homologation restrictions.
I happen to meet one of the owners’ sons at an event, a young generation always attentive to changes, who is impressed and interested in my business. He contacts me a few days later to arrange a meeting for further discussion and to better understand my operations.
I visit their company to see their reality and gain a better understanding of their business. After this pleasant meeting where I detail my modus operandi, they take some time to consider, and being July, we schedule a meeting for September. When September comes, they contact me and ask to proceed with a free mini-market research to understand what interest their products might have there. The mini-research goes well as we immediately receive good feedback from local potential clients, and it’s highlighted that there are no homologation requirements for cars there, meaning maximum freedom to customize cars according to clients’ desires.
Towards the end of September, we meet again to sign the commercial mission contract and decide on the period, which will be late October/early November to coincide with the Qatar World Cup.
Building a commercial mission takes approximately a month and a half, and indeed, we schedule the departure for early November.
But let’s see how a mission is built…
